At The Outback Park & Public Range, you can
rent a Glock for the day and try it out before you purchase your
own. Yes, we will sell you any gun you want, but we can only
recommend those guns that have proven themselves in the field.
Law enforcement in Kansas has chosen Glock to protect their officers,
time and again. If you are serious about security for yourself
and your family, try a GLOCK.

Concealed
Carry has come to Kansas,
and with it
has come the need to have a compact, rugged, reliable, pistol
that you can trust to be there when you need it most. This is
a Glock 27 with a Gould & Goodrich "small of back" belt holster.
This combination allows for easy, comfortable, all day carry.
With the Glock's tenifer/polymer makeup, you don't have to worry
about this fine weapon being affected by rain, sweat, or any
environmental conditions.

"As
gun companies go, Glock is not really very old. But its short
existence is marked by the fact that the Glock pistol set the
handgun world on its heels. It was innovative in many ways,
including the use of polymer in the construction of the frame.
The company was founded by Gaston Glock in 1963, but it did not
begin producing handguns until the 1980s when the company obtained a
contract to build the Austrian 9mm military service pistol. Glock
and his designers decided to combine the use of polymer and steel in
building this new pistol in order to keep the weight of the pistol
well below conventional levels. It was thought that this could be
done without sacrificing ruggedness and reliability.
Glock also used a different ignition
system than is generally found on conventional handguns. The Glock
pistol operates by an internal striker system that is partially
cocked when the first round is chambered. As the trigger is squeezed
during the firing mode, the little safety lever in the face of the
trigger is activated, the cocking mode is completed, and the pistol
is fired. There are no external safeties on the Glock pistol
whatsoever.
In 1985 Glock opened an American office in Smyrna, Georgia, and
began marketing his pistols in this country. The Glock Model 17, his
first commercial offering, was a 17-shot 9mm pistol with a 4
1/2-inch barrel; it weighed only 22 ounces. American hand gunners
quickly found that this unique pistol was really quite reliable and
could stand up to a lot of hard use. In addition, its accuracy was
on a par with other service autoloaders. But the most interesting
thing was that many police agencies found it extremely easy to teach
inexperienced police recruits to shoot the new pistol effectively.
When I originally took in the Glock
Model 21 in .45 ACP, I just wanted to learn about this new-fangled
polymer pistol. Well, it’s proved itself to be rugged, reliable, and
accurate—enough so to have won a permanent place on my handgun
shelf."

FOBUS
holsters are another fine choice for your
Glock pistol. The Glock 27 to the right is riding in a Fobus
Roto-Paddle holster. The Fobus paddle holster allows you to
carry your Glock when you think you need it, and take it off quickly
at home, work, or where law forbids concealed carry. Fobus has
made a name for itself in lightweight, secure, molded holsters that
are environmentally resistant just like Glock pistols.
